Why Every Buddhist Practice Begins With the Śuddha Mantra Oṃ svabhāva śuddhāḥ sarvadharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho 'haṃ. Why does almost every formal Buddhist sadhana begin with this one ancient Sanskrit chant? And why did Lama Thubten Yeshe call it the "Universal Love Mantra”? What are the 7 Benefits of this powerful mantra? In this video, we explore the Śuddha Mantra (the Purity Essence Mantra) — what it means, how to recite it, and why affirming that all phenomena are pure can settle the mind, clear obscurations, and anchor us in the present moment. We break down the Sanskrit word by word, share Lama Yeshe's teaching on adventitious stains, and look at how this ancient insight resonates with modern physics — where atoms are 99.999999% empty space, yet that space is fertile, alive, and interconnected. You don't practice to become pure. You practice from the powerful platform of your innate purity. 🎵 Listen to the companion music video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNGo2DE6N_g In this video: 00:00 Why every sadhana starts with this chant 01:00 Rethinking Purity (Ego Traps): You were never Impure01:50 The mantra and its meaning (Mantra 3 times)02:35 Mantra Meaning 02:47 Sunya Mudra 03:20 When to Chant: 7 Benefits of the Mantra 04:20 Mantra translation word-by-word 05:38 Gelek Rimpoche on the Mantra06:37 Lama Yeshe on purity (The sun behind the clouds) 07:45 How to practice with it (mudra, visualization, daily uses)08:36 Purity, emptiness, and modern physics 10:04 Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh: “Oneness, not Nothiness”11:03 Resting in Oneness and Visualization Oṃ svabhāva śuddhāḥ sarvadharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho 'haṃ. All dharmas in their own-being are pure; in my own-being I too am pure. BENEFITS Because this is, perhaps, the most powerful of all Buddhist affirmations due to it’s simple essence, its practical application in our everyday lives is vast. We chant it at the beginning of every formal meditation, sadhana, or mantra accumulation after taking Refuge to establish our pure ground. We use it to bless and purify our mala beads, vajra, bell, and altar offerings. We chant it over our food and water to purify its essence before eating. We recite it upon waking or after nightmares to ground our body and mind in tranquility. We chant it to clear negative energy in a space, a so-called haunted space. We use it to comfort a sick person. We can also use this to reassure those who are passing away, reminding their consciousness of their ultimate, unstained nature. We dedicate the merit of this presentation to the benefit of all sentient beings. #ShuddhaMantra #Buddhism #LamaYeshe #TibetanBuddhism #Emptiness #Shunyata #Meditation #Mantra #BuddhistPractice #Oneness

🙏 Enlightened Odyssey of Bodhisattva Hero Avalokitesvara: Adventures in the Six Poison Realms DON'T MISS THIS ODYSSEY ADVENTURE (with exciting animations or jump to chapters and scenes below if you want to visit only one of the six locations!) 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 ☠️ The Six Poison Realms — and the Bodhisattva Captain who sails us through them, pacifying the 6 Obstacles and Afflictions. Why does Buddhism talk about poison? Because the hell realms, hungry ghosts, animals, humans, demigods, and gods aren't just places on a map — they're the six poisons of your own mind: anger, greed, ignorance, desire, jealousy, and pride. And here's the twist: you don't need to be reborn to visit them. You live in all six every day. Join us on an Enlightened Odyssey — a heroic voyage through the Six Poison Realms, guided by the Captain of our ship of Enlightenment, Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, in his six powerful forms. 🌟 FOR A FULL WRITTEN FEATURE WILL MANY SHOLARLY CITATIONS SEE OUR ORIGINAL STORY ON BUDDHAWEEKLY.com: https://buddhaweekly.com/6-avalokitesvara-heroes/ The Buddha is our Great Navigator. The Dharma is our Map. And the sacred Six Syllable Mantra — Om Mani Padme Hum — is our compass. 🛶 The Great Voyage: Buddha's Map to the Far Shore First taught by the 6th-century Tiantai patriarch Zhiyi in his Mohe Zhiguan, this ancient metaphor maps Avalokiteshvara's six forms onto the six realms of Samsara — and onto the six poisons that keep us trapped. In Vajrayana, the same teaching is called "closing the gates." Same truth, different maps. One by one, we face each poison — and watch our Captain transform to pacify it: 🔴 Poison of Anger & Hate — Naraka-loka (Hell Realm)Fire, demons, and rage. Avalokiteshvara appears in his peaceful two-armed form, his serenity cooling the flames. Seed syllable: Hum. 👻 Poison of Greed — Preta-loka (Hungry Ghost Realm)Never-satisfied ghosts with pot bellies and pin-mouths. Our Captain expands into his awe-inspiring 1000-Armed form, Sahasrabhuja āvalokiteśvara radiating golden light. Seed syllable: Me 🐾 Poison of Ignorance — Triyak-loka (Animal Realm)A wild jungle where every creature devours another. Hayagrīva, Hayagrīva āvalokiteśvara, the horse-headed form, stills the beasts with his neighing, granting mirror-like wisdom. Seed syllable: Pad 🏙️ Poison of Desire — Manushya-loka (Human Realm)Towering cities, endless cravings, no stars in the sky. The eighteen-armed Great Chundi appears, Cundī āvalokiteśvara, snatching away our attachments, granting discriminating wisdom. Seed syllable: Ni ⚔️ Poison of Jealousy — Asura-loka (Demi-God Realm)Storm-tossed seas, warring giants, envy of the gods. The eleven-headed Avalokiteshvara, Ekādaśamukha āvalokiteśvara towers over the waves, calming the Asuras with golden light. Seed syllable: Ma 🌸 Poison of Pride — Deva-loka (God Realm)Divine music, jewelled trees, a beautiful unmoving dream. Chintamani Chakra Avalokiteshvara, Cintāmaṇicakra āvalokiteśvara holds the wish-fulfilling jewel — the Om itself — dissolving even divine delusion into Space-Like Wisdom. Seed syllable Om 📖 NOTE: The six seed syllables of the Om Mani Padme Hum are the syllables of each of the six Avalokitesvaras, from Deva Realm (Om) to Asura realm (Ma), to Human Realm (Ni) to Animal realm (Pad) to Hungry Ghost realm (Me) to Naraka Loka (Hum). 🌟 The Antidote Is the Journey 📖 Chapters: 00:00 — The Six Poisons: Why Buddhism Talks About Poison 00:50 — Buddha the Great Navigator, Dharma the Map 01:18 — Avalokiteshvara: Captain of the Ship of Enlightenment 02:02 — Om Mani Padme Hum: The Six Gates, The Six Poisons 02:50 — Zhiyi's Mohe Zhiguan & The Six Kannon Tradition 04:05 — Poison #1: Anger — Naraka-loka (Hell Realm) 06:16 — Poison #2: Greed — Preta-loka (Hungry Ghosts) 07:36 — Poison #3: Ignorance — Triyak-loka (Animal Realm) 09:01 — Poison #4: Desire — Manushya-loka (Human Realm) 10:21 — Poison #5: Jealousy — Asura-loka (Demi-God Realm) 11:23 — Poison #6: Pride — Deva-loka (God Realm) 13:43 — Return to the Center: The Antidote Was the Journey 14:08 — Becoming the Captain: The Bodhisattva's New Odyssey 14:49 — Dedication of Merit 🙏 Support Our Spread the Dharma Mission: buddhaweekly.com/support patreon.com/BuddhaWeekly #Buddhism #Avalokiteshvara #OmManiPadmeHum #SixRealms #SixPoisons #Kleshas #Bodhisattva #BuddhaWeekly #Enlightenment #Mahayana #Vajrayana #Guanyin #Kannon #Dharma #Meditation #Compassion #Samsara #EnlightenedOdyssey

🙏🙏🙏 Key Takeaway: The grief attack is not a system failure. It is the murky, beautiful, painful reality of love persisting through transformation. Is this podcast for you? Yes, if you: 🌿 Have experienced a panic attack triggered by grief, loss, or the fear of loss 🌿 Are supporting someone who is dying or grieving 🌿 Have lost a beloved pet and feel disenfranchised in your grief 🌿 Want both biological tools (breath, vagus nerve) and philosophical frameworks (emptiness, non-fabrication, transformation) 🌿 Are curious how 8th-century Tibetan wisdom and modern palliative care converge on the same practical advice 🌿 Appreciate a blend of neuroscience, Buddhist psychology, and heart-centered storytelling 💬 Maybe skip if you: Are looking for a short, surface-level overview (this is nearly 50 minutes, quite in-depth) Prefer purely secular content without Buddhist framework (though the episode explicitly addresses secular listeners) ✅  ALWAYS SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP FOR SERIOUS ISSUES 📚 FOR a FULL TRANSCRIPT and CITATIONS to the 17 Sources mentioned in this Video Podcast, see the complete feature on Buddha Weekly: https://buddhaweekly.com/surviving-grief/ 🙏 Support Our Dharma Mission:Donate https://buddhaweekly.com/donor/   | Patreon https://www.patreon.com/c/BuddhaWeekly | Become a Supporting member: https://buddhaweekly.com/support/ ⚡Top Points for Listeners A grief attack is a full-body nervous system event — not just sadness. It mimics the physical process of dying: crushing chest pressure, dry mouth, cold sweats, gasping breath. The body believes it is dying because the mind believes it is dying. ✅ The pain is real, but the permanence is an illusion. Like a phantom limb, the agony is 100% real, but the source is empty. The panic is not your identity — it is an impermanent weather pattern caused by attachment (raga) and aversion (dvesha). ✅ Don’t feed the innate demon. The initial wave is unavoidable, but the secondary reaction — I’m going to die, this will never end, I can’t survive this — is optional. ✅ Three anchors for the acute phase (from Guru Rinpoche): Body: Drop your shoulders, unclench your hands. Short-circuit the biofeedback loop. Speech: Stop talking. Rest like a mute. Cut off the verbal fuel. Mind: Refuse to fabricate future storylines. Stay in the current millisecond. ✅ One breath is enough. The Maranasati Sutta says the truly heedful person lives within the interval of a single in-breath or out-breath. You don’t have to survive the rest of your life without them — just this one breath. This plunges you into the “deathless” present, where time — and therefore grief — cannot exist. ✅ Slow the breath to hack the mind. Deep, slow exhaling stimulates the vagus nerve, activating the parasympathetic nervous system and chemically signaling the fight-or-flight response to stand down. You are not alone. Kisagotami’s story reveals that every house has known death. Your grief is not a unique curse — it is the shared burden of all humanity. This realization breaks the isolation. ✅ A cloud never dies. Thich Nhat Hanh’s teaching: matter and energy cannot be destroyed, only transformed. You aren’t grieving your loved one’s destruction — you’re grieving their transformation. ✅ Eat the poison (metaphorically). The peacock transmutes venom into radiant feathers. Acceptance rather than aversion transmutes your personal agony into deep universal compassion. The grief doesn’t disappear — it becomes purpose. ✅ Ritual replaces helplessness with love in motion. Whether guiding words, gentle touch, or chanted mantra, devotional practices give the grieving person a focal point of supreme compassion — a final, beautiful, actionable gift to the dying. ✅ Einstein’s comfort: The distinction between past, present, and future is a stubbornly persistent illusion. Your loved one is woven permanently into the fabric of the cosmos — and into your very being. The separation you feel is just the mind struggling to comprehend the scale of transformation. The wave will pass. The connection remains. Keep breathing.

Danger & Fear: Emergency Buddhist Protection Mantra Time Out! Instant Safety with Green Tara
Welcome to another Buddha Weekly Emergency Mantra Time-Out—your short, emergency sanctuary when life feels heavy, overwhelming, or unsafe. Feeling Drained? Paranoia? Bad Luck? Do you feel like you are under attack by "black magic," curses, or the hostile intentions of others? Whether you view this as an external spell or a heavy psychological obstruction (a storm of paranoia and dread), the suffering is real. It leaves you feeling isolated and waiting for the other shoe to drop. In this emergency time-out, we turn to the ultimate protection: Black Tara (Vadi Pramardani Tara) . We also discuss other options, including the Parittas and Sitatapatra practices. 🛡️ Who is Black Tara? She is the 7th of the 21 Taras, known as "Tara Who Crushes Adversaries." But as an enlightened Bodhisattva, she does not kill or create bad karma. Like a fierce mother elephant protecting her calf, she destroys the causes of black magic—the anger, jealousy, and ignorance in the mind of the harm-doer—and neutralizes their negative energy. She simultaneously purifies the fear and self-doubt within your own mindstream. 🧠 The Psychology of Protection As the 11th-century yogini Machig Labdron taught: "As long as there is an ego, there are demons." A curse gains power when our fear gives it permission to take root. By visualizing Black Tara—a Jungian "shadow" empowered for good—we shatter paranoia and reclaim our personal power. 🙏 The Ultimate Refuge Regardless of the form we visualize, our true refuge is the Three Jewels: Buddha: The Enlightened form (Black Tara) we visualize. Dharma: The sacred mantra we chant. Sangha: Our connection to all sentient beings. Against the Triple Gem, no evil or obstacle can prevail. ✨ What You Will Experience in This Video: Guidance: Understanding how Buddhism meets the fear of black magic without judgment. Visualization: A guided meditation on the radiant, dark-blue light of Black Tara. The Mantra: Chanting the potent Sanskrit mantra for dissolving curses, with Hrishikesh Sonar and the Buddha Weekly Band. The Shield: Visualizing an impenetrable sphere of wisdom fire that consumes all negativity before it reaches you. 🎵 The Mantra Translation: "Homage to Tara, the saviouress from suffering and fear, whose wisdom cuts and transforms, dissolves or eliminates every obstacle, curse, and negativity." ⏱️ Timecodes: 0:00 – Introduction: Facing the Fear of Black Magic 2:22 – How Buddhism Views Curses & Psychic Attack 3:42 – Black Tara: The Undefeatable Protector 4:48 – The Psychology of Demons & The Ego 6:31 - True Refuge and Protection: the Three Jewels 8:07 – Guided Visualization: The Blue Light of Protection 12:15 – Chanting the Mantra (Hrishikesh Sonar with Buddha Weekly Band) 💡 Benefits of This Practice: Dissolves Fear: Calms the "storm of paranoia" and unexplained dread. Energetic Cleansing: Visualizing the blue light purifies negative imprints and bad karma. Restores Boundaries: Provides a powerful archetype to shatter psychological vulnerability. Connects to Sangha: Reminds you that you are not alone; you are connected to the life force of the Universe. 👤 Who Is This For? Anyone feeling drained, isolated, or targeted by negativity. Those experiencing "bad luck" or spiritual obstructions. Practitioners seeking a swift, wrathful protection practice. Anyone needing an "emergency" spiritual reset. CREDITS: Illustrations by V.V. Grief Attack Quick Fix - Amitabha Mantra and Pureland Dharani meditation and chanting
📱 A BuddhaCast ✨ with Josephine Nolan and Dave Lang (available as audio podcast on your favorite podcast service). 📱 In this fascinating and intense deep dive Podcast, Dave and Josephine ask: "Are we literally making ourselves sick on a molecular level just by the acoustic frequency of our own negative self-talk? If we know that sound waves radically alters the chemistry of water, and we know that if, as the science points to, we are basically walking bags of water, then we have to ask a really uncomfortable question about our own internal monologue." "The casual words we say to ourselves every single day. If chanting Om can structure your cellular water for healing, what happens when you spend your entire day repeating things like, I'm so exhausted, or I'm falling apart, or I can't do this? It's like a reverse mantra." Are those daily complaints physically acting as a reverse mantra? Are we literally making ourselves sick on a molecular level just by the acoustic reinforcement of our own negative self-talk? And they dive even deeper into accoustic resonance, cavitation, ancient Buddhist Mantras and life-force retrieval, what shaman used to call "soul retrieval" Don't miss this fascinating and lively podcast!! Dave and Josephine explore this and other science-back aspects of Buddhist meditation and healing, with an intense dive into Buddhist Lifeorce Restoration, or La Gug. 👉 What if the key to unlocking your body’s innate healing power lies not in a pill, but in the ancient vibrations of your own voice and the power of your mind? On this episode of the Buddha Weekly BuddhaCast, hosts Josephine Nolan and Dave Lang dive deeper than ever before into the intersection of Buddhist wisdom and cutting-edge science. We move beyond basic mindfulness to explore a groundbreaking synthesis of Tibetan healing practices, modern psychoneuroimmunology, and the physics of sound. 👉Join us as we decode how the concept of La—your vital life force—can be fractured by modern stress and how ancient practices like Lagug (vitality retrieval) are designed to repair it. We'll explore the "Vajrayana Practices," comparing the gentle healing of the Medicine Buddha to the fierce, aggressive power of Black Manjushri and the ultimate "nuclear option" of the Vajrapani-Hayagriva-Garuda triad for combating severe illness. 👉Finally, we demystify mantras, revealing them not as mere prayers, but as "acoustic technology" that utilizes sonochemistry to restructure the water in your cells and entrain your biology toward health. This is the ultimate guide to becoming an active participant in your own healing journey, using the tools of an ancient tradition that modern science is only just beginning to understand. 🔹 DISCLAIMER: These practices are supportive and NOT a replacement for proper medical advice and healthcare. 🔹🔹🔹Episode Breakdown with Timecodes: Episode Breakdown with Timecodes: (00:00) Introduction: The New Paradigm of Healing (02:30) Buddhist Vitality: Understanding the "La" (Life Force) (05:45) The Mind as Medicine: Shattering the "Syndrome" Trap (09:15) The Science of the Mind-Body Connection (14:30) The Vajrayana Pharmacy: The Healers and the "General Practitioner" (18:45) Aggressive Diseases & The "Nuclear Option" (22:45) Mantras: Ancient Acoustic Technology (26:45) The "Reverse Mantra" (27:45) Conclusion & Final Thoughts 🔹🔹🔹Resources / Citations 📖 MOST of these studies are found on https://buddhweekly.com. One mantra to Purify All. 🙏 #suddhamantra #sunyatamantra Here chanted in our official @3GemsBand music video 💎💎💎 The Suddha Purity Mantra is a Universal Purification mantra used in all Mahayana streams of practice. It is the ground of every sadhana, the blessing before every practice, the "Universal Love" mantra 🙏🙏🙏 Lama Yeshe 🙏🙏🙏 called it. And now it has five musical faces. It is used to purify malas, statues, our cushion for sitting, our home, ourself, others, the sick, unhealthy environments. Why so powerful? It is the UNIVERSAL LOVE ONENESS PURITY mantra: oṃ svabhāva śuddhāḥ sarvadharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho ‘haṃ ॐ स्वभाव शुद्धाः सर्वधर्माः स्वभाव शुद्धोऽहम् This translates as — All Dharmas are Pure. Pure is what I am. FULL FEATURE with teachings from Lama Yeshe and full translation on BuddhaWeekly.com here: https://buddhaweekly.com/suddha-purity-mantra/ This mantra is so universal, it is a part of every formal Sadhana and Puja of most teaching lineages. No permission is required to listen or to chant and meditate on the profound power of Oneness and Purit. The mantra's essence can be summed up in three affirmations: All things are pure in their fundamental nature. (The universal truth of these words.) I am not separate from that purity. (The personal understanding of these words) Therefore all beings are pure, and I am one with them. (The compassionate conclusion that manifests as Purity and Oneness.) This is why it can be used anywhere, anytime, and for any practice — waking, sleeping, before practice, after nightmares, to bless objects, to pacify places, to accompany the dying. It is not a ritual formula but a portable realization: a reminder that wherever we are, whatever we face, the ground of reality is purity, and we are never outside of it. FIVE VERSIONS? Yes, we did five versions in our mini album. This music video is only one of these. This version is dedicated to the Karma Activity Buddha Family and the All-Accomplishing Wisdom of the Karma family of Amoghasiddhi and Tara. But it can be used in any activity. Since it’s the same mantra as the other four in this series, this is a universal mantra of purification. We’ll explain… Here's the story: as we sat with the Śuddha Mantra— the Purity Mantra, the "Universal Love" mantra that begins every Buddhist practice — the band couldn’t agree on the right melodic approach. Then, we realized, because of the universal use of this vastly profound and important mantra, that you can chant and meditate on this mantra in many ways for many practices: energetic, peaceful, enriching, exciting and wrathful, and active. We understood that the same sacred syllables, the same melodic heart, could meet practitioners exactly where they are in whatever practice they focus on. So we recorded five distinct versions, each carrying its own tone, its own "persona," its own way of opening the heart, but unified by a melodic thread. These mirror the main practice approaches of the five Buddha Families, and the Five Wisdoms overcoming the Five Poisons. The same mantra can be pacifying, magnetizing, enriching, subduing and active, since this mantra contains the universal truth of “Oneness.” So, we ended on five melodic versions that make us think of the Five Buddhas, the Five Wisdoms, the Five Poisons to be Overcome, and the Five core methods of practice; pacifying, empowering, enriching, supressing and activity. It’s a bit of a unique experiment but we enjoyed exploring it! We hope you will too! In future we’ll do more videos for each version, but the mini album is widely available (or will be, it’s still rolling out) on music streaming services under the title “5 Suddha Purity Mantras” by 3Gems Band: 🎶 On SPOTIFY: https://open.spotify.com/album/06YElOaKXXhzH1Y0W8X5HJ 🎶 On APPLE MUSIC: https://music.apple.com/us/album/5-suddha-purity-mantras-ep/6825169072 🎶 Each version holds 27 recitations, unified by one overarching musical theme — yet each embodies a different Buddha family energy: 🪷 Śuddha Purity Mantra Padma — magnetizing, Padma family style ⚡ Śuddha Purity Mantra Vajra — the "Vajra" tone; slightly wrathful, not over the top, Vajra family style 💎 Śuddha Purity Mantra Ratna — enriching, Ratna family practices 🧘 Śuddha Purity Mantra Buddha — pacifying, serene, Buddha family🌬️ Śuddha Purity Mantra Karma — Karma family The Śuddha Mantra reminds us that all dharmas are pure in their own-being — and we are pure in ours. Five tones. One purity. One love. 🙏 #3GemsBand #PurityMantra #Sanskrit Mantra #UniversalLoveMantra #BuddhistMusic #MantraMusic #BuddhaWeekly #FiveBuddhas #OneMantra #BuddhistChant #Buddhistmantra

This long "sleep" play PROTECTION MANTRA of Tara is traditionally chanted to relax your mind for sleep and request the protection of the 21 Taras. Here, @3GemsBand chants the Seed Syllables of all 21 Taras in the Surya Gupta Lineage teachings in gentle, relaxing tones. These syllables are each the essence of the 21 Taras and their longer mantras. IMPORTANT NOTE: We have asked for ads to be removed from the middle of this video, but our music distributor hasn't replied, so unfortunately, for now, there may be ads in the middle. Bookmark for sleep meditation later -- the ads should be removed within a week. ANOTHER NOTE: We normally add chant-along subtitles. On this video we opted not to, since chanting along makes sleep meditation difficult. For sleep meditation, simply listen to Tara's seed syllables. To see what they are, refer to the description below. Thank you. @3GemsBand This long play, serene sleep meditation music is meant for play before or during sleep. This version is 2 hours. This mantra was expounded by the Great Auspicious Goddess (Sanskrit: Śrīmahādevī or Mahāśrī, also known as Lakṣmī or the Goddess of Merit / 功德天). Although she manifests in the form of a celestial maiden to liberate sentient beings, she holds the spiritual realization of a First Bhumi Bodhisattva. She is revered in East Asian Buddhism as a guardian of wealth, virtue, and prosperity, and as one of the Twenty-Four Protective Deities. 🔔 Subscribe to @3GemsBand for more spiritual music, mantras, and meditative arrangements! 38 Blessings of the Maṅgala Sutta Paritta - The Supreme Blessings Sutra Official MV
@3GemsBand is honored to perform the ultimate protection mantra of Sitatapatra from Sutra, sung in original Sanskrit. Her mantra is considered the ultimate protection, whether chanted, written or just listened to. 🙏🙏🙏 🙏 Whether she is visualized in her form with 1000 arms and heads, or 2 arms, she is “Aparajita” which means “undefeatable one”. She emanated from the ushnisha of the Conqueror Shakyamuni Gautama Buddha, the ultimate aspect of Dharma Protection. 🎵 Available from your favorite music streaming service as “Sitatapatra Protection Mantra” from @3GemsBand. 🎵 Here, 3 Gems Band open properly, as with any Mahayana Practice, with Refuge in the Three jewels and an mandala offering to accumulate merit. We then chant her mantra from Sutra, as well as the activity mantra from the Dharani. The medium mantra itself is ⚠️ CAUTION Even though mantras are effective with faith, always seek help when you are in trouble! 🙏 Oṃ sarva tathāgata uṣṇīṣa sitatapatra Hūṃ phaṭ Her heart mantra is 🙏 Hūṃ mama hūṃ ni svāhā We follow this with the acitivity mantra from the longer Dharani: 🙏 Sarva vighnaṃ chindayāmi Vajreṇa kīlayāmi And, properly, we end with Bodhichitta dedication. A full translation (in brackets) and lyrics is below. 🎵 LYRICS (OR TURN ON SUB TITLES (Translation in Brackets) 🙏🙏🙏 Refuge (Saraṇa) — Opening Buddhaṃ saraṇaṃ gacchāmi Dharmaṃ saraṇaṃ gacchāmi Saṅghaṃ saraṇaṃ gacchāmi Maṇḍala Verse — Short Offering Oṃ āḥ hūṃ Sarva maṇḍalaṃ samarpayāmi (Oṃ āḥ hūṃ — I offer the entire maṇḍala.) Mantra of Sitatapatra Oṃ sarva tathāgata uṣṇīṣa sitatapatra Hūṃ phaṭ Hūṃ mama hūṃ ni svāhā Hūṃ mama hūṃ ni svāhā Hūṃ mama hūṃ ni svāhā ✨✨✨Activity Mantra Sarva vighnaṃ chindayāmi Vajreṇa kīlayāmi (“I cut off all obstacles; I pin them down with the vajra.”) Idaṃ me puṇyaṃ Sarvopadravebhyaḥ Sarvasattvānāṃ Nirvāṇaprāptaye bhavatu (“May this merit of mine be for the protection of all beings from all harms, and for their attainment of nirvāṇa.”) ✨ Description of Sitatapatra Even her mantra is considered ultimate protection — often written on paper or carved in wood or metal and placed in front of doors or perimeters of property. Her Sutra practice from the Śūraṅgama Sūtra and also the ārya tathāgatoṣṇīṣa sitātapatra dhāraṇī sūtra is for “healing illness, dispelling interferences and spirit possession, quelling disasters, and bringing auspiciousness.” according to the great teacher Lama Thubten Zopa Rinpoche. ⚠️ As a Sutra practice, no empowerments are required. She can appear in any form as a beautiful white goddess bearing a protective parasol umbrella, or as ferocious as a towering deity with 1,000 heads, 1,000 arms, and countless all-seeing eyes! Regardless of her emanation — 2 arms or 1000 — she always holds her vast protective Parasol, a symbol of impenetrable protection that emanated from the ushnisha of Shakyamuni Buddha. In Vajrayana she is considered a form of Mother Tara, the ultimate Protective Bodhisattva Goddess.

5 Dakinis Mantras and Puja & Activity Mantras: WARNING You will Want to Dance! OFFICIAL MV
🎵🎵 We are deeply honored to present sacred chanting of "Tara’s Own Promise Dharani"  (Tārāsvapratijñādhāraṇī) 🎵. This project is a sacred sonic journey into the heart of the Sutra of Tara’s Promise, capturing the essence of Noble Tārā’s vow to protect all beings. 🛡️🛡️🛡️Beautifully launched with stunning visuals of Tara's rescues of beings! 🛡️🛡️🛡️ ✨ The Power of This Dharani ✨In the Sutra, the benefits are explained: “By merely recalling this dhāraṇī, all dangers will be eliminated, all accomplishments attained, and all sentient beings brought under control.” It is said that on the 8th or 15th day of the moon, or daily, if one makes offerings and recites this, Tārā will grant whatever you desire. 🛡️ Protection from the 16 Fears 🛡️Tārā protects us from the 8 outer fears and the 8 inner fears. Each outer danger corresponds to a negative psychological state that she helps us overcome: 🦁 Lions (Pride) 🐘 Wild Elephants (Ignorance/Delusion) 🔥 Fire (Anger & Hatred)🐍 Snakes (Jealousy) 🌊 Floods (Attachment & Clinging)⛓️ Imprisonment (Miserliness & Greed)🥷 Thieves (Wrong Views) 👻 Demons (Doubt & Disturbing Ego-Emotions) 🛡️ DHARANI in IAST Sanskrit: tadyathā  oṁ tāre tārāyai hūṁ hūṁ hūṁ samayasthite bhara bhara sarvābharaṇavibhūṣite padme padme mahāpadmāsanasthite hasa hasa trailokyavarade sarvadevadānavapūjite smarāhi bhagavati tāre smarāhi bhagavatas tathāgatasya purataḥ samayaṃ dhara dhara mahāsattvāvalokite maṇikanakavicitrābharaṇe  oṁ vilokāya mama sarva bhagavati tāre hrīṁ hrīṁ hrīṁ phaṭ svāhā 🎵 FOR OUR SONG, sing Mama Sarva, which means: "look upon me and all” as opposed to “say the name” — in your personal practice you could say the name of your teacher or the person you’re dedicated the practice to (but leaving in sarva, which means all) but in group practice we’d say “myself and all” as in Mama (myself) and Sarva “All”). So for instance, if you dedicated this to His Eminence Garchen Rinpoche, to his protection and healing and long life, you would say oṁ vilokāya Garchen Rinpoche sarva bhagavati tāre hrīṁ hrīṁ hrīṁ phaṭ svāhā. 📍 Where to Listen/Watch:Available on YouTube and your favorite music streaming service on the 3Gems Band channels @3GemsBand CONCISE TRANSLATION (for comprehension. The line by line is best for chant along comprehension NOT for singing. See below.) It is thus: Oṃ Tārā, to Tārā, hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ, abiding in your sacred pledge, sustain sustain, adorned with all ornaments, lotus lotus, abiding on the great lotus seat, smile smile, bestower of blessings in the three worlds, honored by all gods and demons, remember me O Blessed Lady Tārā, remember me before the Bhagavat Tathāgata, hold the pledge hold it, you who gaze upon great beings, adorned with varied jewels and gold. Oṃ look upon me and all beings, O Blessed Lady Tārā, hrīṃ hrīṃ hrīṃ phaṭ svāhā. #Tara #Dharani #Buddhism #NewMusic #MusicVideo #TaraPromise #BuddhistMusic #SacredSound #Tārāsvapratijñādhāraṇī #Compassion #ReleaseAlert
Tara's Own Promise Dharani Tārāsvapratijñādhāraṇī Official Music Video 🎵 POWERFUL PROTECTION
We are delighted to share our new release: a beautiful, serene chanting of the Karaniya Metta Sutta by 3 Gems Band — one of the popular Paritta chants for protection. This music video is an offering of metta and karuna (love and compassion), wrapped in an atmposphere of quiet mindfulness, and peaceful reflection. The visuals are a tapestry of tranquil moments: serene forest paths, monks in meditation, a mother bird caring for her eggs, and a gentle plant sheltering another from the rain. We hope this audio-visual experience brings a sense of calm and loving-kindness to your day.
