Magha Puja Day

Mฤgha Pลซjฤย (also written asย Makha Bucha Day) is the second most importantย Buddhist festivalย afterย Vesak,ย celebrated on the full moon day ofย the third lunar monthย in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Sri Lanka and on the full moon day ofย Tabaungย in Myanmar. It celebrates a gathering that was held between the Buddha and 1,250 of his firstย disciples, which, according to tradition, preceded the custom of periodic recitation ofย discipline by monks.
