Kalachakra Tantra taught by Shakyamuni Buddha on this day. This is also Vesak, the anniversary of Shakyamuni Buddha’s Enlightenment. The full moon is also meritorious for most practices, especially Medicine Buddha, Tara and Amitabha. Also good for Naga Puja.
Kalachakra Tantra taught by Shakyamuni Buddha, on the 15th day of the third lunar month (May 5 in 2023) which is also celebrated as VESAK — the date celebrating Shakayamuni Buddha’s Enlightenment. This is to celebrate the teachings on Kalachakra, transmitted by Shakyamuni Buddha on the one year anniversary of his Enlightenment. On this day, “He appeared at Dhanyakataka in south India as the Kalachakara deity, setting forth the Kalachakra tantra.”
