Lhabab Duchen 2026 — Buddha’s Descent from Heaven

Sunday, November 1, 2026 marks one of the four holiest days in the Buddhist calendar — the day Shakyamuni Buddha returned to Earth at Sankassa after three months teaching Dharma to his mother, Queen Mayadevi, in the Heaven of the Thirty-Three. FOR A FULL FEATURE, please see>>

According to Vinaya texts, merit on this day is multiplied ten million times (up to 100 million). Every virtuous act — every prayer, every offering, every act of kindness — ripples across the universe exponentially.

How to make the most of this precious day:
✨ Observe the Eight Mahayana Precepts
📖 Recite the Heart Sutra, Diamond Sutra, or King of Prayers
🪔 Offer butter lamps, water bowls, incense & flowers
🤲 Practice generosity — support monks, nuns & Dharma centers
🙏 Renew your Refuge & perform prostrations

The heavens opened, the triple staircase descended, and the Buddha returned to walk among us. Let’s honor that moment with our practice. 🌈
