    Māmakī is the wisdom partner of Ratnasambhava, sovereign of the element earth. Her symbol is the jewel and Her yellow-golden color, represents the richness of the earth and her role as bringer of prosperity, bounty and generosity.

    Her mantra is

    oṃ ratne suratne māṃ svāhā

    The mantra translates as

    Om is the verbal prostration to the body speech and mind of Mamaki (here called the “mam” “jewel” (mam seed syllable and ratne meaning jewel.)

    Ratna (रत्न) refers to jewel, the wish-granting jewel or pearl.

    Suratna (सुरत्न).—[adjective] rich in treasures

    Svaha (Thus it is, and may it be so for the benefit of all beings.)

    This is a praise, prostration and supplication to Mamaki (the Mam Jewel) to bring Suratna (rich treasures), so be it.

    This emphasizes her mission of equanimity, nurturing the growth of wisdom through richness and diversity, and especially generosity. She is often associated with Yellow Tara and Ratna Dakini.

    Her practice overcomes the poison or obstacles of Pride and Greed with the Bountiful Wisdom of Equality. She radiants golden light, like a glorious sunrise.

    She is yellow or golden, to represent Mother Earth and Bountiful harvests. Her pureland is in the South, and her element is the earth. She holds a Wish-Granting Jewel in her hand, or her hand is in the mudra of giving or generosity, the Wish-Granting Pearl or Jewel of the Ratna or Jewel Family. Her other symbol is the vajra bell. Her throne and sacred animal is the horse.

    In other images, she appears with the stem of a lotus in her left hand, on top of which is a bell.

    Her magic, or siddhi, is increasing and enriching.

    Her paramita, or wisdom is generosity.

    Her seed syllable of prosperity is Mam
