Happy Tara Day

Every day is Tara day, although typically we celebrate especially on the eighth day of the lunar month, which is auspicious for Tara practice. NOTE: Both Wednesday and Thursday count as Tara Days — since there are two 8ths days this month This is because of the way of counting extra days in the Tibetan lunar calendar. Occasionally, there are “double days,” and this month is one of them. Both Wednesday and Thursday, according to FPMT’s 2024 calendar, which is prepared astrologically, are the 8th (two 8ths), so both Wednesday and Thursday are Tara Day. Double celebration!
