For those who practice the glorious Lapis Lazuli Light Medicine Buddha, the full moon is the traditional Puja Day, although the 8th Lunar Day is another traditional Puja Day for Medicine Buddha and Mother Tara.

As the compassionate Buddha of the 12 vows, it is appropriate to offer vegetarian offerings, Medicine Buddha Mantras, his very profound and powerful Dharani, and especially to recite the glorious Sutra of Medicine Buddha. On his special day, merit is multiplied.
